TransAtlantic Petroleum Provides Update on Status of Operations in Turkey


HAMILTON, Bermuda, Oct. 8, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. (NYSE-MKT:TAT) (TSX:TNP) (the "Company" or "TransAtlantic") today provided an update on the status of its operations in Turkey.

Status Update

While there have been press reports of protests in Diyarbakir and Batman in southeastern Turkey, and the towns are under curfews, TransAtlantic's drilling operations and production have thus far not been impacted by these events. The Company has experienced minor delays in the movement of completion equipment and services as a result of the curfews, but does not expect them to have a material impact on future production levels.

TransAtlantic intends to provide another update if there are further developments which would result in a material impact to its operations.
