VšĮ “Numerio perkėlimas” (“Number portability”), a joint not for profit organization established by four Lithuanian telecommunication companies UAB Bitė Lietuva, UAB Omnitel, UAB Tele2 and TEO LT, AB, together with UAB Mediafon was elected a winner of the public tender of the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) of the Republic of Lithuania on election of number portability administrator for central database of telephone numbers.
The winner of the tender will have to ensure administration of process of number portability between services providers, when subscriber is changing provider of public telephony service, starting from 1 January 2016. The price, which was offered by the winner of the tender, is 0.05 litas per one designated subscriber’s number.
