Gartner Names Covisint a Visionary in Magic Quadrant for Horizontal Portals

DETROIT, Oct. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Covisint Corporation (Nasdaq:COVS), provider of a B2B Cloud Platform that ensures trusted information gets where it needs to go securely and seamlessly, today announced that Gartner, Inc. has recognized Covisint as a Visionary in its latest "Magic Quadrant for Horizontal Portals," published October 1, 20141. The Magic Quadrant positions vendors on their ability to execute and completeness of vision.

We feel this recognition continues to validate Covisint's continued momentum and leadership position in delivering what the company views as the key technologies enterprises need to gain a digital business advantage across their extended network of business partners and customers: security, integration and presentation. Covisint has been named a Visionary in the Horizontal Portals Magic Quadrant for six consecutive years, and has also been named a Leader in the "Gartner Magic Quadrant for Identity and Access Management as a Service"2 and a Visionary in the "Gartner Magic Quadrant for Integration Brokerage"3 this past year.

Gartner defines a portal as "a personalized point of access to relevant information, business processes and other people. Enterprise portals support a wide range of business activities and address various audiences, including employees, customers and partners, and citizens."

Covisint's B2B Cloud Platform is comprised of a set of integrated technologies that connects people, systems, and "things" – and delivers on all three functional areas of enterprise digital transformation in a single, integrated platform. This enables enterprises to solve complex information and user management challenges across business partner and customer relationships, including within their own enterprise. Covisint's security, data exchange and integration expertise complement portals and the user experience in complex B2B scenarios and Covisint's customers have been among the early innovators in Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives.

"Horizontal enterprise portals have become a means as well as an end to consolidate, coordinate and collate trusted information from a business to its constituents," said Brad Schechter, Director, Product and Corporate Marketing for Covisint. "We believe being named a visionary in the Magic Quadrant for Horizontal Portals for the sixth year running further validates the strength of our B2B Cloud Platform and the commitment we place on helping enterprises become completely secure and flexible, even as their workforces, IT environments, partner relationships and business strategies evolve."
