October 2014: The German brand management and media company m4e AG has signed an option deal with Atlantyca IP Agency, the branch dedicated to the sales of Atlantyca Dreamfarm's extensive children's catalogue of IP publishing brands, for the television and licensing rights to the successful comedy mystery book series charmingly written by Lucia Vaccarino, "Me, Mum & Mystery". m4e will seek to develop the book series "Me, Mum & Mystery" into a live-action series for kids, which features a special relationship between a mother, Linda, and her 11-year old daughter Emily, who together run an inherited detective agency in a small unknown village. The usual sensitive relationship between mother and daughter occurs, resulting in the oddest couple of detectives who work together to resolve some unusual and funny mysteries. Translation rights to the book series - which counts 8 titles so far plus more in development - have been sold in Spanish, Catalan, Greek and Indonesian. "We are so excited to be working with m4e on this amusing story", says Lucia Scott, Production Manager of Atlantyca Entertainment Spa. "With an extensive catalogue of popular series, including "Mia and me," their production history speaks for itself, m4e are specialist in creating charming and entertaining content for kids. We know that there is an enormous amount of creative potential with this book series especially with such characters as the endearing little Emily and her distressing mom and we are very anxious to seeing our new partner bring this property to live-action fruition." "We are very excited about the deal with Atlantyca and see huge potential in the story of 'Me, Mum & Mystery' to become a fantastic live action entertainment story for the whole family. We feel that the creative storytelling of the books of 'Me, Mum and Mystery' easily translates into a wonderful television story and the line-up of characters is made perfectly for an international success." adds Hans Ulrich Stoef, CEO of m4e AG.
