China Movie Media Receives Strategic Investment From China Construction Bank International

BEIJING, Oct. 20, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In August 2014, China Movie Media Group ("CMM") received a strategic investment from China Construction Bank ("CCB") to fund its movie projects. Due to this injection of funds, CMM's projected revenue in the movie marketing and promotion business is expected to increase significantly.

CMM is currently the most competitive and resourceful movie marketing and advertising group in China. Built on its core advantages in marketing and communication in the movie business and in movie promotion, distribution and financing, as well as its consulting business in Big Data and work in the movie media advertising sector, CMM has worked successfully with over 200 domestic and imported movies and increased its operating revenues in the past five years.

CMM's capabilities in movie marketing and promotion have attracted attention from Hollywood, including Paramount Pictures. In June 2014, CMM acted as the lead partner in charge of the comprehensive marketing and promotional business for Transformers: Age of Extinction in mainland China. The domestic box office performance of Transformers 4 has surpassed that of North America, grossing US$300 million dollars, topping the Chinese Box Office Chart and eclipsing the box office record previously set by Avatar.

Furthermore, live action blockbuster Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) will be released on Oct 31 in mainland China, and CMM will once again assume the role as the lead marketing partner for TMNT. Prior to its release in China, this movie has already generated global box office gross revenues of over US$300 million dollars.

CMM's founder and Chairman of the Board Mr. Brad Genming Zhang says, "I am excited about this first round of investment from CCB.  As the most resourceful movie promotional group in China, we are constantly searching for effective ways to improve our overall competitiveness.  In the future, we will help more production companies realize strong box office earnings as well as word of mouth in China. We believe that CMM's marketing and promotional power can significantly contribute to box office success in China."
