The Dinerstein Cos. Development Wins 2014 MFE Green Housing Grand Award

Multifamily Executive Ranks The Dinerstein Companies Among Top 25 Developers

HOUSTON TX--(Marketwired - Oct 20, 2014) -  A luxury apartment community developed by The Dinerstein Companies has won the Green Housing Grand award in Multifamily Executive's 2014 MFE Awards. The Dinerstein Cos. also made the 2014 MFE Top 25 Developers List, ranking No. 9 for starting 2,063 units in 2013.

A national full service real estate and development company, The Dinerstein Cos. developed the award-winning community, The Millennium Uptown, at 2525 McCue Road in Houston, Texas. The multifamily community began leasing to young professionals in 2013. Soon after, The Millennium Uptown became the city's first LEED® Platinum certified wood-frame apartment property. In the same year, The Dinerstein Cos. sold the community to AMLI Residential and it was renamed AMLI Uptown.

The five-story, 238-unit luxury community is set in Houston's Uptown Galleria area in close proximity to shopping areas and public transportation, within walking distance to a major corporate headquarters. Its walkability, in addition to many green features including energy-saving utility management systems, car-charging stations and sustainable landscaping, helped earn the community the highest achievable LEED certification.

"As a company committed to building LEED certified properties, we are pleased when one of our projects is recognized for its performance and sustainability," says Brian Dinerstein, a Dinerstein Cos. partner. "We want our work to always be a positive impact on the communities we build in. As one of the nation's top ranked multifamily developers, we consider it our responsibility."
