As Senior Vice President of Medicaid, Heidi and her team will continue to expand their work with clients to achieve strategic, operational and quality goals. During her quarter-century of health care experience, Heidi worked for Aetna as the National Medicare Compliance Officer, and as the Chief Operating Officer of one of their Medicaid plans. She spent eight years working for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), during which time she held various executive positions in both programs in the agency's Central Office, as well as the Regional Office in San Francisco. Some of her specific responsibilities included oversight of long-term care enforcement, Medicaid state relations and program development for dual eligibles, as well as oversight of Medicare Advantage (MA) plan deeming and appeals. Further, Heidi served as Medicaid Bureau Chief in the Pennsylvania Governor's Office, where she focused on Medicaid reform efforts and quality improvement. She also served as the Vice President of Medicaid Business Development at Coventry Health Care's corporate office, and directed operations for one of their Medicaid plans.
