Artesian Resources Annual Charity Golf Outing Benefits Local Organizations


NEWARK, Del., Oct. 28, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Artesian Resources Corporation (Nasdaq:ARTNA) announced that it has raised nearly $40,000 at its 4th Annual Charity Golf outing. The recipients are the Boys & Girls Club of Delaware, The Ministry of Caring in Delaware, and the Ray of Hope Mission in Cecil County, Maryland.

More than 125 people were in attendance on October 9 at the Odessa National Golf Course in Delaware on a crisp fall day to enjoy a round of golf and to partner with Artesian for this worthwhile cause. "I am delighted that so many of our colleagues have joined with us for this special event each year. With the generous support of our corporate sponsors and the hard work of our employees, we are able to contribute to charities in our area that make a positive impact every day in the lives of so many people," said Dian C. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware provide before and after school care, educational services and curriculum based learning as well as programs focusing on physical education, character building, the arts and culture. The Ministry of Caring is a community-based nonprofit organization that provides support services to the homeless and the working poor in the Wilmington, Delaware area. The Ray of Hope Mission, based in Port Deposit, Maryland, helps to support families and others in need with food and necessary items such as clothing and furniture. They also assist victims of domestic violence.
