QIWI Kiosks Will Be Installed in "Monetka" Supermarkets

MOSCOW, Oct. 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- QIWI plc (Nasdaq:QIWI) (MOEX:QIWI) and LLC "Element-Tarid" ("Monetka" supermarkets, "Monet Super" convenience stores and "Rayt" hypermarkets) signed a long-term partnership agreement according to which QIWI kiosks will be installed in 623 shops.

"We incrementally expand the presence of QIWI kiosks in retail chains: recently we have announced a partnership with JSC Tander (subsidiary of OJSC "Magnit") and in a few weeks we are starting to install self-service kiosks in a regional discounter chain "Monetka". Such partnerships are beneficial for our counterparts – a single contract for numerous locations and a highest unified kiosk operation quality standard allows our partners to offer their clients additional service without risks and at a minimum cost." - said Sergey Maliy, Agent Network Development Manager at QIWI Group.

LLC "Element-Tarid" operates a network of more than 650 stores in 176 cities in 15 regions of Russian, including Moscow and the Moscow Region. Company head office is located in Ekaterinburg. "Monetka" is one of the biggest retail networks in Ekaterinburg and the Ural Region.

QIWI cash-in kiosks will provide retail's clients with a fast and convenient way to pay for different goods and services including mobile services, internet providers, utilities, banks and money transfer services. Thus the number of payment options available for "Monetka" clients will significantly increase.

All QIWI kiosks will be put into operation by the end of October.

"Beside developing and improving our core services and product lines in the stores we aim at attracting new clients and improving customer loyalty by offering convenient payment options. Now "Monetka" consumers have an opportunity to make different financial operations close to their homes. We hope that every new kiosk will find its loyal users." - commented Sofia Sushko, Head of Subtenancy Department at "Element-Tarid".
