Gemalto discusses NFC and EMV at Money20/20

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With less than one year until the October 2015 fraud liability shift, Gemalto, the world leader in digital security, is bringing its expertise in EMV and NFC to Money20/20 during two panel discussions. Along with other industry leaders, Gemalto's President of North America, Sebastien Cano and Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Jack Jania will share insights on the "Evolution of the NFC ecosystem" and "EMV, Mobile, CNP and beyond."

With the convergence between EMV and NFC technology, consumers will have secure payment options that go beyond traditional cards including EMV in the form of contactless, mobile and wearables. Gemalto recently launched a contactless wearable technology that is EMV certified and can be integrated into any form factor such as eyewear and wristbands. The benefits of on the go payments in fast track environments are enticing to consumers lending to an estimated value of $11.61 billion by 20/201 for wearable technology.

In addition to the lineup of speakers and full schedule at Money20/20, November 2-5th, attendees are invited to drop by and enjoy a break at Gemalto's onsite lounge (level one). The lounge will give event goers a hub to network, relax, and recharge throughout the conference. Join us for daily activities, refreshments and networking with the Gemalto team.
