Alphatec Spine to Showcase New Arsenal(TM) Spinal Fixation System at the Upcoming 29th Annual North American Spine Society (NASS) Meeting in San Francisco


CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 29, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alphatec Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATEC), the parent company of Alphatec Spine, Inc., a global provider of spinal fusion technologies, announced today that it will showcase its new spinal fixation system, Arsenal as well as its comprehensive portfolio of products at the upcoming North American Spine Society (NASS) meeting at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California, which will be held from November 12th – 14th, 2014. Alphatec Spine will be located in booth number 829.

This year Alphatec is pleased to host the following events at NASS:

Alphatec Spinal Fusion Technologies Technical Exhibit Booth #829: Alphatec will be showcasing its broad portfolio of spinal fusion products, including Arsenal, its newest and most innovative spinal fixation system, which is currently in limited market release in the U.S. Arsenal has been designed as a comprehensive system capable of handling the most complex degenerative pathologies from T1 to the pelvis. During exhibit hours, the Company will be demonstrating the features of the Arsenal system, including the complete suite of new, ergonomically designed instrumentation in its sawbones lab at the booth.

In addition, the Company will be providing booth tours and highlighting the features and benefits of key products including: Illico MIS®, Trestle Luxe®, Alphatec Solus® and its full suite of biologics products that aid in successful spinal fusion.

Educational Symposium led by Dr. Brian Kwon: On Wednesday, November 12th at 5:30pm, Alphatec is hosting an educational symposium entitled, "The Timing of Surgery for Acute Spinal Cord Injury – Bench to Bedside Translational Perspectives." Dr. Kwon is a surgeon-scientist with advanced training in spine surgery and also a PhD in neuroscience. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics, University of British Columbia, and holds the Canada Research Chair in Spinal Cord Injury.

Less Invasive Solutions Course: On Thursday, November 13th at 5:00pm, Alphatec is facilitating a Less Invasive Solutions course at the Moscone Convention Center for international surgeons alongside a renowned faculty, including Dr. Joseph Aferzon, Connecticut Spine Institute, Dr. Jeffrey Bash, Middlesex Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Rolando Puno, Norton Leatherman Spine Center, and Dr. Blake Welling, Utah Spine Care. Course attendees will interactively rotate through our three cadaveric learning stations featuring our innovative products: Illico MIS, the Alphatec Solus Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion system and the Epicage Lumbar Interbody System.
