Adjusted natural gas distribution price cap

Vilnius, Lithuania, 2014-10-30 12:33 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, on 30 October 2014, the National Control Commission for Prices and Energy (hereinafter - the NCCPE) set an adjusted natural gas distribution price cap of AB Lietuvos Dujos for 2015, which is LTL 25.80/ MWh or EUR 7.47/ MWh.

Compared with 2014, the distribution price cap increased by 16.7 percent in 2015. The main reason for the increase thereof is natural gas volumes, which are projected to be 17 percent lower in 2015. A more significant increase in price cap was reduced due to lower technologic costs incurred in 2013 and 2014 as a result of a reduced natural gas import price and lower costs after the change of the method of the unbundling of distribution activity.

Given the set price cap, the Board of Directors of AB Lietuvos Dujos will in the nearest future make a decision on specific natural gas distribution prices to take effect from 1 January 2015. Specific prices will be presented for the NCCPE’s approval.
