Celebrating Culture and Tradition at the Montcalm Heritage Festival

ST. JOSEPH, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - Oct. 31, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $25,100 in funding to the St. Joseph Museum for the 2015 Montcalm Heritage Festival. This funding is provided under the Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program of the Department of Canadian Heritage.

Ted Falk, Member of Parliament (Provencher), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

• More than 1,500 people are expected to attend the Montcalm Heritage Festival, taking place June 13 and 14, 2015.
• Festival activities include musical performances for all ages and presentations of local Franco-Manitoban heritage at the St. Joseph Museum, which depicts an early 20^th century village.
• The 21 buildings that make up the St. Joseph Museum offer a unique opportunity to see and experience how early pioneer farmers lived and worked in the region more than 100 years ago.
