Sales in October


Baltika’s consolidated sales revenue from continued operations for October totalled 5,207 thousand euros, increasing by 7% compared to the same period last year.

Baltika’s consolidated retail sales revenue for October was 4,399 thousand euros, decreasing 1% compared to the same period last year. Wholesale increased by 87% compared to October in previous year, e-com sales increased by 268%.

Retail sales increased in Baltic states by 1%, thereof in Latvia 12%, in Lithuania 8% and in Estonia decreased by 8%. In Russia, retail sales decreased by 15% compared to same period previous year. In local currency sales increased in Russia by 1%.

The franchise stores line saw addition of three new stores in October – franchise partner Gold Button opened Bastion, Ivo Nikkolo and Monton stores in Russia in Moscow. Retail network increased by two stores – Blue Inc and Bastion stores were opened in Estonia in Tallinn. At the end of October Baltika Group had 125 stores, among which 4 franchise stores in Russia, 1 in Spain, 2 franchise stores in Belarus and 14 operating franchise stores in Ukraine. Sales area of shops operated by Baltika decreased by 1% compared to the same period last year.

Sales revenue for the 10 months totalled 44,996 thousand euros, increasing +8% yoy. Retail sales revenue was 40,236 thousand euros (+4% yoy), including Baltic states sales growth +8%. Wholesale was 4,265 thousand euros (+45% yoy) and e-com revenues 347 thousand euros (+90% yoy).

In connection with Baltika’s exit from the Ukrainian retail business and selling the company there (agreement was signed on 29 April 2014), the sales revenue of the Ukrainian entity is presented as discontinued operation. Sales announcement presents only the results of continuing operations unless indicated otherwise.
