KappAhl publishes a combined Annual and Sustainability Report

Today KappAhl publishes its Annual Report for the fiscal year 2013/2014. This
year, the fashion chain has chosen to combine the financial annual report and
the sustainability report.
       - Our sustainability work makes us strong and contributes to our
increased profitability, says KappAhl's CEO Johan Åberg in the report.
In the report Johan Åberg comments about the year past with “We stick to our
plan and continue to make many improvements every day. That’s how we build a
strong KappAhl.” This is what we have done during the year, which is why our
sales are better than the market as a whole and we have achieved increased
profitability… despite a continuing tough market… We have much left to do and we
are doing it from a position that is stronger than it has been for some time.
This means that I am looking forward to the coming year.”

During the financial year has seen KappAhl including:

...   Improved operating profit by 46 percent,

...   increased the operating margin to 6.2 percent, well on its way towards the
target of 10 percent,

...   designed several successful collections such as Hampton Republic 27 for
the whole family as well as the lingerie collection Fifty Shades of Grey by
KappAhl,

...   launched the new store concept "For You", one of KappAhl's largest
investments ever,

…  launched the most modern customer loyalty club, "KappAhl Life & Style" in
Norway,

…  and a total of 19 percent of the range has been sustainability labeled.
