United States Marine Corps Now Protecting 225,000 Personnel Worldwide With AtHoc

AtHoc's Emergency Notification System Fully Operational for All United States and Overseas Based Marines and Civilian Personnel

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 6, 2014) - AtHoc, Inc., the leader in network-centric interactive crisis communication systems, today announced the latest renewal of the United Stated Marine Corps (USMC) Enterprise Mass Notification System (eMNS). Under the program leadership of the Marine Corps Installation Command (MCICOM), eMNS continues operations across all Marine world-wide installations, with the AtHoc emergency mass notification system protecting military members as well as civilian personnel.

The deployment covers 225,000 active duty Marines, sailors and civilians across all Marine Corps bases, camps, depots, and stations. The AtHoc system leverages the Marine Corps' existing IP network to unify all communications to quickly reach personnel through networked desktop alerts, mobile phones, landline phones, giant voice/PA systems, social networks, and the AtHoc Mobile Notifier™ app.

"In 2012, the U.S. Marine Corps joined the vast majority of Defense, Homeland Security and other federal government agencies in protecting their personnel with AtHoc, as the system of choice for their enterprise-wide emergency communication and mass notification requirements," said Dave Brown, AtHoc's Vice President of Defense and Intelligence Group. "Furthermore, the Marine Corps' eMNS strengthens the DoD's overall readiness to meet the mass notification system requirements laid out by the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF)."

In support of the recent Modern Day Marine conference held at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, AtHoc exhibited and demonstrated the "best practices" that they are privileged to use in their daily support of the mission to provide effective installation protection and maintaining the mission capability, operational readiness, and quality of life of Marine Corps organizations, personnel, and families as they serve our country both at home and abroad. In the coming months AtHoc's Customer Advocacy and Training Team will return to each installation in support of preparedness and security goals by conducting another round of training for operators, gaining valuable feedback from Marine users as well as discussing AtHoc updates and sharing the latest best practices and the most recent DoD lessons learned.
