Kratos Wins $81 Million Critical Infrastructure Security System Integration Contract

Single Award Contract for the Deployment and Integration of Mass Transportation Security, Control, Communications and Other Systems for Large U.S. Metropolitan Area


SAN DIEGO, Nov. 6, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that its Public Safety & Security Solutions (PSS) Division recently received an $81 million single award contract for the deployment and integration of a specialized security system for a major mass transportation authority. Under the five-year, fully funded contract award, PSS will design, engineer, deploy and integrate a comprehensive security system into command and control infrastructure. PSS will be responsible for the integration of important critical elements of the integrated security system, including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Voice Communication System (VCS), Closed Circuit Television System and the Communications and Control Systems testing. The deployment of the fully integrated system will be in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States. Due to customer related and other considerations, no additional information will be provided related to this contract award.
