DeNA Reports Second Quarter Fiscal Year 2014 Financial Results


TOKYO, Nov. 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DeNA Co., Ltd. (Tokyo:2432), a global leader in mobile Internet services, today announced its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2014. DeNA reported quarterly revenue of 36.0 billion yen and operating profit of 8.0 billion yen.

"Our quarterly financial results exceeded our guidance with both revenue and operating profit increasing quarter-over-quarter," said Isao Moriyasu, President and CEO of DeNA. "Our game business is gaining momentum in Japan and internationally with the launch of new native app hits.   • Coin consumption for DeNA's Japan game business was 36.5 billion yen, exceeding guidance due to successful live operation of browser-based games
  • International coin consumption was sequentially flat, approaching 40 million USD

  • Digital magazine app Manga Box reached six million downloads in September
