Applied Systems Increases Automation and Connectivity with Applied TAM 2014 R2

Latest release to provide enhanced workflows and expand connectivity options with carriers and insurers

UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill., Nov. 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Applied Systems today announced the introduction of Applied TAM 2014 R2, the latest release of the most widely used agency and brokerage management system, to Canadian, U.K. and U.S. independent insurance agencies and brokerages. Applied TAM 2014 R2 provides greater consistency to workflows throughout the system, increased carrier and insurer connectivity, and enhanced usability, enabling agencies and brokerages to increase productivity and improve client service for continued business growth and profitability.

Applied TAM allows agencies and brokerages to automate daily operational processes, client policy information, and carrier and insurer connectivity, enabling users to be more productive and focus on the core business of selling insurance and servicing their insured. Through an automated and easy-to-navigate interface, Applied TAM provides deep visibility into day-to-day agency and brokerage operations to reduce time spent on administrative tasks, decrease errors and omission risk, provide a seamless employee onboarding and training experience, and better respond to client needs. Applied TAM automates the business operations for more independent insurance agencies and brokerages than any other agency and brokerage management system.

Key enhancements in the latest release of Applied TAM 2014 include:

  • myTAM– additional predefined workflows in Applied TAM improve agency and brokerage operational performance through consistent processes, reduced training time for new employees, and mitigation of risks and errors. Workflows are easily accessible throughout the system beyond just the home screen, extending the use of workflows throughout the system to further automate agency and brokerage operations.
  • Policy Quick View – single view into pertinent client policy detail, such as vehicle information, coverages, and covered drivers for personal auto policies, at a click of a button, providing instant access to essential information to quickly answer policy-related questions and provide a more precise explanation of client exposures by line of business.
  • Enhanced carrier and insurer connectivity – North American agencies and brokerages can now benefit from easier carrier configuration setup, support for download and real-time transactions for additional lines of business, and the ability to submit commercial lines policies via a real-time transaction, enabling them to improve carrier interactions, staff productivity, and client service.

"With increasing competition and changing client demand, agencies and brokerages require technology innovations that deliver operational efficiencies and more diversified policy offerings, allowing their staff to service clients in a timely and thorough manner," said Michael Howe, senior vice president of Product Management, Applied Systems. "Demonstrating our ongoing investment in Applied TAM, this latest release delivers new enhancements to improve an agency or brokerage's workflow consistency and expand connectivity with their carrier and insurer partners, enabling agencies and brokerages to lower operational expenses and build a more profitable book of business to remain competitive in today's evolving marketplace."
