HANOVER, Md., Nov. 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The KEYW Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The KEYW Holding Corporation (Nasdaq:KEYW), announces that it has been awarded a prime contract with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to develop and transition next generation ISR sensor systems under the Analysis, Test, and Integration of Sensor Systems program (ATISS). This new single-award contract has a base period of performance of 5 years and a ceiling value of $38M. The first task is a 5-year effort with an initial award of $17M.
Added to other recent awards, KEYW has booked approximately $78 million of awards with the AFRL for airborne ISR systems in the past year. This award complements a $2 million, 15-month contract to build and deliver a supercomputer for wide-area radar imaging and moving target tracking, a $10 million 4-year contract to KEYW and its teammates for the Contested Environment RF Exploitation and Research (CERFER) program, and a $4 million program for SAR data compression. ATISS supports the Layered Sensor Exploitation Division, AFRL/RYA and supports development of new C4ISR systems to exploit existing sensors of all kinds. Some examples of exploitation include target recognition, tracking, fusion, sensor management (autonomy) and registration. This exploitation research is shifting from permissive to contested environments.
