Gevo Named Among the Fastest Growing Companies in North America on Deloitte's 2014 Technology Fast 500(TM)

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gevo, Inc. (Nasdaq:GEVO), a leader in renewable chemicals and advanced biofuels and the world's only commercial producer of renewable isobutanol, announced today it was named on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. Gevo grew 1,146 percent during this period and was ranked 103rd overall but, notably, in the industry where it competes, Gevo ranked third out of all clean technology companies.

Patrick Gruber, Gevo's chief executive officer, said, "We are very pleased that Gevo was named as one of the fastest growing companies in Deloitte's Technology Fast 500™. This is a great recognition of the tremendous progress we have made in commercializing our isobutanol and alcohols-to-hydrocarbons technologies. I believe we are at an interesting inflection point, where we expect significant additional growth for Gevo in the future, as we continue to ramp our isobutanol production at Luverne, and begin to monetize the value of our intellectual property through the licensing of our isobutanol and hydrocarbons technologies."

Gruber added, "I would like to thank all of our employees and our partners for their efforts in helping Gevo achieve our progress to date. We are really looking forward to the next phase of growth for our company."
