Informatica Unveils New Solutions for Accelerating Back-Office Integration with Salesforce1 Lightning Connect and Salesforce1 Mobile App

Redwood City, Calif., Nov. 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq:INFA), the world's number one independent provider of data integration software, today announced new cloud integration solutions for accelerating back-office integration with Salesforce1 Lightning Connect and the Salesforce1 Mobile App.

The new solutions from Informatica, a leader in cloud integration for the Salesforce ecosystem, will enable companies to run their businesses from their phones with unprecedented agility and confidence. In addition, the new solutions will quickly help companies unlock data from legacy systems, because business users, Salesforce administrators and line-of-business (LOB) IT can easily integrate external data into their Salesforce clouds.

Informatica will discuss these solutions during the Salesforce World Tour event, Nov. 19, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Informatica Cloud is a Gold sponsor of the event.

Informatica Cloud and Salesforce1 Lightning Connect enable easy, real-time connection to back office and other external sources

With Informatica Cloud's new OData Provider and Salesforce1 Lightning Connect, users will be able to easily and rapidly create, as well as modify, back-office integrations that streamline and automate business processes such as onboarding, products and pricing, and quote to cash.

The Informatica Cloud OData Provider for Salesforce1 Lightning Connect works seamlessly with the hundreds of Informatica connectors already used by customers for integrating Salesforce with data sources, such as SAP, Workday, NetSuite, Twitter, LinkedIn and Oracle. This enables easy, real-time visualization of data natively in any Salesforce application.

"nCino uses Informatica Cloud Data Integration in our cloud banking solution, and now we have expanded our OEM partnership to use Informatica's new Cloud OData solution for Salesforce1 Lightning Connect," said Mark Wood, director of Integration, nCino. "Many of our banking customers use our loan origination application built on Force.com and need to reference customer information from back-office transactional systems as part of the workflow. With the new Informatica Cloud OData Provider, nCino can easily enable external data to be visualized natively within our custom Salesforce application, in real-time. This helps our banking customers process loans at a much faster rate."

With Salesforce1 Lightning Connect, customers can represent the external data in Salesforce external objects and incorporate the data directly into Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, custom and mobile applications, Visualforce pages and global search - and collaborate on legacy data via the Salesforce Community Cloud - from anywhere.

Ronen Schwartz, vice president and general manager, Informatica Cloud, said "Informatica Cloud is continuing our leadership in the cloud integration market for the Salesforce ecosystem with our new solutions, unveiled today, which accelerate back office integration for every Salesforce customer. With the Informatica Cloud OData provider support for Salesforce1 Lightning Connect, we provide the most comprehensive portfolio of Salesforce cloud integration and data management services, including bulk and real-time application integration, data integration, test data management, data quality and master data management."

Scott Holden, vice president, platform, Salesforce, said, "Salesforce1 Lightning Connect is a new breed of real-time integration that turns any external data source into a first-class citizen on the Salesforce1 Platform. Along with partners like Informatica, we are making integration point-and-click simple for our customers."

Pre-built business integration apps for SAP to Salesforce1 Mobile App and Oracle Siebel to Salesforce migration

Informatica Cloud delivers out-of-the-box SAP integration optimized for the new Salesforce1 Mobile App, with pre-built business mappings between SAP and Salesforce1 for processes such as opportunity-to-order and objects such as accounts, contacts, products, pricing and orders.

The new Informatica offering makes it easier than ever for business users to securely access SAP data and integrate the data into Salesforce1 to run their businesses from their mobile phone.

In addition, Informatica Cloud offers an Oracle Siebel to Salesforce migration accelerator with pre-defined mappings, so users can start migrating and testing data immediately to fast-track their projects - minimizing the risks of poor data quality and insufficient test data. Informatica delivers streamlined data provisioning, data security, data migration, as well as Siebel de-commissioning.

All of the Informatica Cloud solutions for Salesforce, announced today, are powered by the Informatica Vibe virtual data machine. The unique "Map Once. Deploy Anywhere." data integration functionality provided by Vibe means that data integration mappings created using Informatica Cloud can be run without recoding on any other Informatica Cloud and Informatica PowerCenter implementation.

Informatica Cloud is a leader in cloud integration for the Salesforce ecosystem, with more than 3,000 companies processing more than 3 billion transactions daily.

Salesforce1 Lightning Ignites a New Era of Innovation in Platform as a Service

Building on the tremendous success of last year's launch of the Salesforce1 Platform, Salesforce1 Lightning defines a new era of Platform as a Service (PaaS). With Lightning, Salesforce is delivering a new user interface for every Salesforce app, optimized for any device. And developers and business users can now quickly build apps with a custom user interface for every screen shape and size. Today, Salesforce is launching the new Lightning Connect, a new breed of real-time integration that will change the way companies access and connect with data stored in legacy systems. Unlike other integration tools, Lightning Connect can be configured in minutes with point-and-click tools and does not copy and store outdated data in Salesforce.
