New owner Ali Garcia will open the store with a weekend full of family-friendly activities—visits from Elmo, Elsa, and Anna, raffles, and giveaways.
Garcia, a mother of two young children, has dreamed of centering her career on fun, laughter, and kids. Her Learning Express Toys store will be located at the corner of 61st and 3rd, in the same neighborhood where she and her family reside. Her goal for the store is that it become a space in which the families of her neighborhood can gather to "share smiles, joy, and all the moments of childhood."
Exceptional customer service is second-nature to Garcia who has more than 15 years of retail experience working in luxury department stores. She looks forward to creating an engaging environment in which customers are highly valued.
