Sports Wagering in Canada

TORONTO, Nov. 18, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) is available for media interviews and background information for stories on sports wagering in Canada.

Since 2011, the CGA has been actively supporting Bill C290, An Act to Amend the Criminal Code of Canada, which if passed would permit single event sports wagering in Canada.

The CGA welcomes and supports the thoughtful and reasoned position that NBA Commissioner Adam Silver put forward in his recent Op Ed in the New York Times.

A fact sheet on sports wagering in Canada is attached.
