DAVID WEEKLEY HOMES ANNOUNCES EXPANSION TO NASHVILLE

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 18, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- David Weekley Homes, the nation's largest privately-held home builder, announced today its entrance into Nashville, TN. Weekley expects to begin construction either late fourth quarter of this year, or early first quarter of 2015.

"The growth and economic development in Nashville has attracted the attention of regional and national developers to begin new communities in the city," said David Weekley, chairman of David Weekley Homes. "David Weekley Homes has built in more master-planned communities than just about any other builder in the country, and we are very pleased to have the opportunity to bring our award-winning homes to the Nashville market."

David Weekley Homes is under contract to build in the master-planned community of Durham Farms, a mixed-use, Traditional Neighborhood Development of more than 1,000 single-family homes and townhomes, said Jon Calbert, area president for David Weekley Homes for Charlotte, Charleston, Hilton Head, Atlanta, Raleigh and now Tennessee.

The builder's first product in Durham Farms will be homes situated on 50- and 70-foot homesites, with prices expected to start from the mid $300s and low $400s, respectively.

Additional future projects David Weekley Homes is considering include communities in Franklin and Brentwood in Williamson County. This marks Weekley's return to the new home building market in Nashville.

"Nashville has had very strong economic growth and has a very healthy move-up home market, and we're excited to be a part of these new development opportunities," Calbert said.
