REMINDER/Media Advisory: CMHC's Annual Housing Outlook Conference-Montreal

Targeting the essentials

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 26, 2014) - Members of the media are invited to attend CMHC's annual Montréal Housing Outlook Conference.

CMHC's experienced analysts will provide an overview of upcoming trends:

  • After outlining the events and issues that will affect supply and demand on the housing markets, our Senior Economist will present the provincial forecasts and also highlight the regional outlook.
  • Following a marked decline in activity in 2013, how is the Montréal area real estate market doing now? Will it recover or stagnate? What can be expected for the condominium market? Will sellers regain some negotiating power on the resale market?
  • The major trends observed in the Montréal area conceal some nuances among the different districts. Which sectors stand out? Where is residential construction active? What types of housing are being built?
Date: Wednesday, November 26, 2014
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Place: Palais des congrès de Montréal
201 Viger Avenue West, Room 517

A press briefing with the speakers will follow the conference (at 11:30 a.m.) in room 513A. However, journalists may come at any time. Breakfast will be served starting at 7:45 a.m.; the conference will begin at 8:35 a.m.
