City Harvest to Ring The Nasdaq Stock Market Closing Bell

What: 

City Harvest will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to mark the release of the 2014 New York Self-Sufficiency Standard Report. City Harvest works to alleviate hunger throughout New York City through the food rescue model it pioneered in 1982, nutrition education, community partnerships, and advocacy. In honor of the occasion, Jilly Stephens, Executive Director of City Harvest, will ring the Closing Bell. 

City Harvest is a partner in the December 2 release of the 2014 New York Self-Sufficiency Standard Report which measures the minimum income needed to support a household in New York City without public or private assistance. The report was prepared for the Women’s Center for Education and Career Advancement with the support of City Harvest, the United Way of NYC and the NY Community Trust.
