Chairman of the Board absent for a period due to illness
The Chairman of the Board in ROCKWOOL International A/S, Bjørn Høi Jensen, is expected to be absent for a period as he receives treatment for a multi-resistant infection.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Board, Carsten Bjerg, will assume the duties of the Chairman until Bjørn Høi Jensen is back. This includes the coordinating role in the Executive Management which the Chairman has taken until a new CEO starts.
“We hope to see Bjørn back within the next months but the medical experts have informed that it is difficult to predict exactly how long time the treatment takes,” says Carsten Bjerg.
Carsten Bjerg has been part of the ROCKWOOL board of directors since 2011. Together with the Second Deputy Chairman, Thomas Kähler (board member since 2008) and Bjørn Høi Jensen, he has formed the Chairmanship which prepares the board meetings.
“There is a lot of experience in the board and we will jointly ensure a smooth and efficient interim period until Bjørn is back,” Carsten Bjerg ends.
