QPR Software has won the tender for the enterprise architecture consulting provider of the Finnish Transport Agency. The agreement period starts as of December 4, 2014 and runs until December 3, 2016. The estimated total revenue of this consultancy is EUR 0.3 million. Based on the agreement, QPR will support the Finnish Transport Agency in its enterprise architecture work by executing various assignments related to information modeling and designing the governance model.
The Finnish Transport Agency aims to support its operational development as well as information management with enterprise architecture and to integrate it as a part of agency’s management system. The agency will be strengthening its in-house enterprise architecture capabilities by instructions and training. Enterprise architecture work is supported by developing methods, processes and tools.
The agency has established Enterprise Architecture Service for managing all enterprise architecture related information. The service supports development of agency’s management system, various operational development processes and operations by modeling information with the enterprise architecture tools and by providing analysis on this information to its clients.
The Finnish Transport Agency is an expert organization specializing in transport. The Agency operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and employs approximately 650 professionals. The Agency is responsible for Finnish roads, railways and waterways and for the overall development of Finland's transport system.
