Christmas at Canada Place, Presented by Port Metro Vancouver, Celebrates 27 Years of Christmas Magic

The Woodward's Windows, Crafts, Movies and More Available at Canada Place December 13-31

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 5, 2014) - 'Tis the season at Canada Place! Join us in celebrating the 27th annual Christmas at Canada Place presented by Port Metro Vancouver. From December 13 to 31, 2014, experience the nostalgic tradition of the Woodward's windows and new festive activities, all in support of the Strathcona Community Centre's Food Security for Children Program.

Unlike previous years, this year's Christmas at Canada Place is entirely outdoors, located on The Canadian Trail, on the west side of Canada Place. In addition to the Woodward's windows, visitors can enjoy Christmas tree displays, crafts, a holiday movie tent showcasing classic Christmas flicks, and an ongoing Christmas light show right above on the iconic sails.

"We are thrilled to welcome locals and visitors alike to the 27th annual Christmas at Canada Place," said Tom Corsie, President, Canada Place Corporation and Vice President of Real Estate, Port Metro Vancouver. "This event has become a holiday tradition for so many, and is a fantastic opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit surrounded by the iconic views of Vancouver's working waterfront, all while supporting an important local community organization. During the holiday season and beyond, we place great value in doing our part to support organizations that are working hard to improve communities in our region."

The Strathcona Community Centre's Food Security for Children Program funds food for afterschool care programs, youth cooking programs and day camps. Wholesome snacks and meals are prepared to ensure that children and youth have full stomachs for full participation and healthy development.
