NCC to develop in Linköping

NCC is selling land and shares in jointly owned companies to the value of SEK 70
million to the property company Lundbergs; including land for development in
Linköping. The purchaser has already assumed access.
The sale supports NCC’s urban-development strategy for the Garnison area of
Linköping, where Lundbergs now plan to build 400 new housing units in the Södra
Ekkällan district.

“Södra Ekkällan has an exciting history and development of the area is
progressing rapidly. By involving other players, NCC is helping to increase the
pace of residential construction, thus benefiting this city district and
creating more housing opportunities for the inhabitants of Linköping,” says

The transaction also includes the sale of NCC’s share in companies that are
owned jointly with Lundbergs, such as land holdings in Norrköping, Karlstad and
Strängnäs.

“We are very pleased to have completed this transaction with NCC. Södra Ekkällan
is a very attractive residential area, close to both the city center of
Linköping and desirable green areas. Linköping is a municipality that has shown
favorable growth and where we have invested around SEK 1 billion in centrally
located commercial properties in recent years. We now look forward to also
building attractive rental units,” says Peter Whass, President of Fastighets AB

NCC has previously also sold land to developers such as HSB, Stångåstaden and
JM. To date, slightly more than 500 residential units have been completed and an
additional 200 units are under production. Södra Ekkällan is an attractive area
that is growing rapidly. Since the location is close to shopping and transport
links, and has the water of the Tinnerbäcken stream around the corner, demand
for housing in the area is considerable.

The sale will have a positive impact on earnings and be recognized in the NCC
Housing business area in the fourth quarter of 2014.
