Contiki and MTV's The Buried Life Announce "The Most #EpicBucketList Contest (Ever)!" Grand Prize Winners

Three North American Millennials will experience an adventure of a lifetime while fulfilling their bucket lists

Anaheim, Calif., Dec. 9, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Contiki (www.contiki.com), the world's leading travel brand for 18-35s, and MTV stars, The Buried Life (www.theburiedlife.com), are thrilled to announce that due to the overwhelming popularity of the contest, they decided to select three grand prize winners for 'The Most #EpicBucketList Contest (Ever)!

The contest received over 30,000 North American entries and 35 million impressions. Both brands were so inspired by the final Top 25 candidates' compelling stories that they couldn't select only one winner.  Millennials had the opportunity to select their top 5 "EPIC" bucket list items from a list of 20 adventures curated by The Buried Life (TBL) and Contiki, then share their personal lists through their social channels and complete challenges to gain points. The grand prize winners include Canadian Tanya Clark and Americans Justin Morris and Peyton Lengacher, who will join either Ben Nemtin, Jonnie Penn, Dave Lingwood and Duncan Penn on this amazing adventure. They also will cross items off their lists while adding some new ones with the TBL foursome.

"The videos sent in by our 25 finalists made us cry, belly laugh and reflect on how important adventure is in your life," says Duncan Penn. "This next step, completing our five "Most #epicbucketlist Items Ever" around the globe with our 3 winners, is going to change my life."

The 3 Grand Prize Winners' Video Stories:

"Our experience with Contiki has once again proved that travel is a dream shared by everyone, especially the millions of young people who follow The Buried Life," says Dave Lingwood. "The success of this contest has blown my mind and I need to go traveling now just to figure it all out."

"We are thrilled with the phenomenal response during our 6-week contest campaign and the thousands of social media posts from our enthusiastic entrants," says Marie Anne MacRae, Global VP, Strategic Partnerships, Contiki. "We truly felt that we had to give away three grand prize trips to these deserving young individuals, so we are excited for the winners to experience their Contiki adventure of a lifetime with The Buried Life."

About The Buried Life

In 2006, The Buried Life, whose members hail from Victoria, Canada, embarked on a 2-week road trip across North America before they returned to university. That brief road trip was transformed into an incredible journey that continues to this day. The foursome made a list of '100 Things to Do Before You Die' and for every list item they accomplished, they helped a stranger do something on their list.  Since then, they've crossed off 'Make a TV Show' (produced 26 MTV USA episodes which aired in 110 countries), 'Write a #1 New York Times Bestselling Book', 'Play Ball with President Obama', and 'Outfit a Teenage Girl with her First Bionic Arm'. They have also given motivational presentations at over 100 North American college campuses and several TEDx Talks across Europe.  Along the way, they've encouraged millions to believe that anything is possible.
