Skanska builds office property in London, UK, for GBP 198 M, about SEK 2.2 billion


Skanska has signed a contract with the WRBC Development UK Limited to build a
major new European property at 52 Lime Street in the City of London, UK. The
contract is worth GBP 198 M, about SEK 2.2 billion, which will be included in
order bookings for Skanska UK in the fourth quarter 2014.
The Lime Street tower will provide approximately 37,000 square meters of office
accommodation over 35 office floors. Skanska is responsible for the
construction, mechanical and electrical engineering and installation of services
within this new development.

Work is due to start in December 2014 and finish in 2017.

Skanska UK reported revenues of about SEK 13 billion in 2013. It has around
5,000 employees. The company is active in building and civil construction,
utilities and building services, as well as facilities management and commercial
development. In the UK, Skanska is a leader in public private partnerships,
PPPs, also known as Privately Financed Initiatives, PFIs.
