Dehaier Medical Systems Attends Two Premier Sleep Conferences

BEIJING, Dec. 10, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dehaier Medical Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq:DHRM) ("Dehaier" or the "Company"), which develops, assembles, markets and sells medical devices and wearable sleep respiratory products in China, today announced that it attended the inaugural Western Sleep Conference (the "WSC") which took place December 5-6, 2014 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Sponsored by the Chinese Sleep Research Society, the WSC is a scientific and clinical meeting for sleep physicians, researchers, and industry practitioners, featuring panels, roundtables, workshops and an exhibition hall focused on the latest development in sleep research and sleep medicine and devices. The WSC is hosted by West China Hospital, Sichuan University ("West China Hospital"), one of the largest hospitals in China and an early adopter of Dehaier's wearable sleep respiratory solution systems.

Additionally, the Company attended the 5th National Sleep Respiratory Seminar (the "NSRS") held December 5-7, 2014 in Beijing. Since its inception in 2010, the NSRS has become the preeminent venue to present and discuss advances in respiratory care and sleep medicine, attracting hundreds of attendees from leading research institutes, hospitals and products and services providers every year.

The Company showcased its recently launched wearable sleep respiratory solution systems at both events. The Company's wearable sleep respiratory solution systems garnered positive reviews from attendees who attended the two conferences, including Dr. Xiangdong Tang, Director of Sleep Center at West China Hospital and a renowned sleep expert in China. "West China Hospital was among the earliest adopters of Dehaier's wearable sleep respiratory solution systems. Our initial clinical results showed much shorter test time with comparable accuracy compared to traditional PSG systems, benefitting both patients and physicians," said Dr. Tang at the WSC.

Ms. Reyna Dong, Marketing Director of Dehaier's Sleep Respiratory Products Division stated, "The WSC and NSRS conferences provided great opportunities for us to showcase our wearable sleep respiratory solution systems as we roll out a nationwide sales and marketing campaign. While we are encouraged by the market reception and early feedback from the 58 hospitals and medical examination centers that have adopted our wearable sleep respiratory solution systems, we expect broader and deeper market penetration of our sleep respiratory solution systems into major hospitals and medical examination centers across China in coming months."
