Professors John Asker, Justin McCrary, and Peter Reiss join the firm as senior advisors

Reiss of Stanford University.

John Asker is a professor of economics at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is an expert in antitrust and competition economics. His research centers on antitrust policy, cartel behavior, vertical restraints, firm-level productivity, and the effects of industry subsidies. Professor Asker has held editorial positions at the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, the RAND Journal of Economics, and the Journal of Industrial Economics. His research has been published in leading economic journals, including the Journal of Political Economy and the American Economic Review. Professor Asker has been a visiting scholar at the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Economics. He has served as an economic consultant, political advisor, and expert witness.

Justin McCrary is a professor of law at the University of California, Berkeley. He works at the intersection of law and economics, with a focus on statistics and economic modeling. Professor McCrary has provided expert testimony on economic concepts, including the proper use of econometric methods; has extensive experience as a consulting expert on antitrust cases; served as a consultant for the Department of Justice; and has been published on the use of statistical methods to estimate damages in antitrust cases. His research can be found in noted economic journals, including the American Economic Review, the Journal of Econometrics, and the Review of Economics and Statistics. He is also the founding director of the UC Berkeley Social Sciences Data Laboratory, or "D-Lab," an innovative center supporting the use of Big Data in social science research.

Peter C. Reiss holds the title of MBA Class of 1963 Professor of Economics at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. He is an industrial organization economist who studies questions related to competition among firms, with a focus on statistical analysis. Professor Reiss has served as an expert in class certification and damages for antitrust and other competition matters, including cases involving allegations of price fixing in financial services and other industries. He has testified before federal government agencies, including the Department of Justice and the Antitrust Modernization Commission. Professor Reiss has served on the editorial boards of major journals, including the American Economic Review, the Journal of Applied Econometrics, Econometrica, the Journal of Econometrics, the Journal of Industrial Economics, Quantitative Marketing and Economics, and the Journal of Economic Literature.
