FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Dec. 15, 2014 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Carl Hahn vice president, chief compliance officer, effective Jan. 15, 2015. Hahn is succeeding Judy Perry Martinez, who will be retiring, and will report to Sheila C. Cheston, corporate vice president and general counsel.

Hahn joins Northrop Grumman from IBM Corporation, where he most recently served as associate general counsel, trust and compliance officer, responsible for IBM's compliance program across the United States, South America and Europe. In that role, he also helped to manage the company's investigations globally. Previously, Hahn held various other positions at IBM, including in corporate litigation, as assistant general counsel in Japan, and providing counsel to IBM's federal government business.

Hahn earned a juris doctorate degree from the University of Virginia and a bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary.
