CANTON, Ga., Dec. 16, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Blue Water Global Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BLUU) is issuing this update to keep its shareholders apprised of the current state of progress at its Blue Water Bar & Grill™ presently under development in St. Maarten, Dutch West Indies.
Building Permit Application
On Friday, November 12, 2014, Blue Water received a response from the Ministry of VROMI (the government body responsible for issuing and overseeing compliance with building permits in St. Maarten) to its application for the Blue Water Bar & Grill™ building permit which was submitted on September 9, 2014. The government raised a concern about the restaurant's site plan and proximity to the ocean's water line.
Blue Water's management subsequently met with the management of Indigo Bay and its architect to find a mutually agreeable solution to the government's concern. Indigo Bay has agreed to increase the overall size and setback of Blue Water's beachfront parcel in order to comply with the government's mandate. The revised site plan has been redrawn by Blue Water's architectural firm and is being submitted to the government today. No changes were made to the final design or floor plan of the restaurant.
The result of this change is actually very beneficial to the Blue Water Bar & Grill under development because the immediate beach area available for Blue Water's exclusive use has now more than doubled in size.
Selection of General Contractor
Blue Water received several bids from local general contractors during the month of November 2014. After giving due consideration to the various bids received, Blue Water has narrowed the field to two prospective candidates. Blue Water's management will be meeting separately with each prospective candidate later this month for additional negotiations and will announce the winning general contractor in January 2015.
