PHOTO RELEASE-HII Announces Location of New Family Health Center at Ingalls

PASCAGOULA, Miss., Dec. 16, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII) announced today the location of the new family health center designed exclusively for employees working at the Ingalls Shipbuilding division and their covered dependents. The center, scheduled to open next year at 2105 Old Spanish Trail in Gautier, will offer primary care, on-site pharmacy and laboratory services.

"It's exciting to know that by choosing this location, we are making quality health care more accessible to so many of our employees," said Edmond Hughes, Ingalls' vice president of human resources. "It's all about making it easier for our employees to take care of themselves and their families. It is all about investing in the wellbeing of our employees. We can't succeed without them."

The health center will be operated by QuadMed, a third-party vendor. When it opens in 2015, services will be available to eligible employees and their dependents who are covered by the Anthem consumer-driven health plan or preferred-provider option plans.

Following the Dec. 1 vote extending the collective bargaining agreement with Ingalls' labor unions, all represented employees and their covered dependents will also have access to the new health center.

The Huntington Ingalls Industries Family Health Center at Ingalls Shipbuilding is one of two new centers opening for HII employees. A second health center is being built at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, Va. The centers are part of HII's larger benefits strategy designed to engage employees and their families in their own health and wellness and make quality healthcare more accessible. The strategy also includes the recent addition of Teladoc, a program where employees can consult with board-certified physicians on non-emergency medical issues via telephone, mobile application or computer. Additionally, HII is offering a preferred rate for healthcare insurance to eligible employees who attest that they do not use tobacco or complete a tobacco-cessation program.
