MoneyGram Launches Home Delivery Service in Vietnam

Consumers Can Receive Funds at Their Doorsteps

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam (Dec. 16, 2014) (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MoneyGram (NASDAQ: MGI), a leading global money transfer company, today announced the launch of a home delivery service that enables Vietnamese consumers to collect funds sent from family and friends around the world — right at their doorsteps. As part of a collaboration with DongA Bank, which has over 240 locations, bank delivery staff will bring the cash funds directly to consumers' homes.

"This new service meets the needs of rural Vietnamese residents who live in remote areas without convenient access to banks or counter pickup service," says Grant Lines, MoneyGram's executive vice president, Asia Pacific, South Asia and Middle East. "In some areas, even traveling to receive money can be difficult. Home delivery is the easiest way for consumers to receive funds without worry or hassle."

DongA Bank has a large delivery staff that will be deployed from the bank's branches to get money to consumers when it is most convenient for them.

"We are excited to work with MoneyGram in making funds more accessible to our customers," said Hoang Thuy Thien, Head of DongA's Business Development. "It will now be easier and more convenient for them to receive much-needed support from friends and family members."
