Florida's Airline Announces New Nonstop Fort Lauderdale -- Tallahassee and Increased Orlando -- Tallahassee Service Starts February 12, 2015


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Dec. 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Offering more routes within Florida than any other airline, Silver Airways is further cementing its position as the airline of choice for business and leisure travel within the Sunshine State with new routes and improved frequencies starting February 12, 2015:

Just in time for the legislative session, Silver has announced new and additional frequencies between Tallahassee and key business markets throughout the State of Florida, including Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa and Palm Beach.

Fort Lauderdale – Tallahassee:

  • Silver is starting four new weekly nonstop flights on peak travel days of Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, starting February 12, 2015.
  • The improved schedule also provides one-stop same-plane service via Tampa each business day, as well as convenient connections via Orlando.

Orlando – Tallahassee:

  • Starting February 12, 2015, Silver is also doubling its service (from one flight per day to two) between Orlando and Tallahassee.
  • The improved schedule includes flight times that are ideal for same-day business travel.

In addition to the above added nonstop flights, more highlights of Silver's new intra-Florida schedule include:

  • additional frequencies between Fort Lauderdale and Tampa – increasing from four to five flights per day on weekdays (starting February 12, 2015);
  • additional frequencies between Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville – increasing from three to four flights per day on weekdays (starting February 12, 2015);
  • improved connections between Key West and Tallahassee, and between Palm Beach and Tallahassee;
