IT – Genium INET 4.0.0240 Project Update for Commodities 112/14


Genium INET upgrade to version 4.0.0240 has been moved from the earlier announced date March 23rd, 2015. The new date for the Genium INET upgrade is April 18th, 2015.  The new enhancements and functionalities in Genium INET 4.0.0240 will be available on April 20th, 2015. Please note that it is mandatory to upgrade Clearing Workstation 1 & 2 in this Genium INET release.


Cash Optimization (Mandatory for members handling collateral and settlement)
As of April 20th, 2015 Nasdaq Clearing intends to launch a change in the current CMS solution, whereby the collateral flows are managed in an advanced collateral optimization process, taking into account both cash and non-cash collateral to optimize each participant’s use of collateral and to minimize the number of cash transactions to and from the service. Additional Day-Ahead Future day 6 contract for SEK El-Cert
Nasdaq Commodities will introduce one additional Day-Ahead Future day 6 contract for SEK El-Cert. Please note that this change is not applicable for El-Cert EUR. No technical Impact.


Commodities ITCH Feed
Commodities ITCH TotalView will be the top product for professional investors and traders trading on Nasdaq Commodities Europe’s financial market comprised of Nordic, UK, German and Dutch power Derivatives. Nasdaq Commodities ITCH TotalView feed also include market data for Nasdaq Commodities Europe’s freight, fuel oil, carbon and UK natural gas derivatives.

Commodities ITCH data comes directly from the trading platform with full depth of market-by-order and is an ultra-low latency feed with no holdback timers. Commodities ITCH feed use the multicast protocol (MoldUDP64).



Auxiliary Market Data (AMD)
Nordic Commodities introducing Auxiliary Market Data (AMD) feeds that is an  ITCH-like data feed with complementary market data that is not included in the regular ITCH feeds like settlement and margin prices, Open interest information etc. Please see Genium INET 4.0.0240 website for more information.


Glimpse Re-request Service
Nasdaq Glimpse is a new retransmission facility for Nordic & Baltic Equity, Commodities and Derivatives TotalView direct data feed subscribers. Using the Nasdaq Glimpse facility, Nasdaq TotalView-ITCH data feed subscribers may obtain a snapshot of an order book in a trading source system at any point during the trading day. Firms may use the Nasdaq Glimpse service to validate order book displays or to recover from major data gaps during the trading day. Nasdaq Glimpse is an add-on service for Nasdaq TotalView-ITCH direct data feed subscribers. Please see Genium INET 4.0.0240 website for more information.

January 12 External release to include initial Nasdaq front-ends and final technical specifications
January 22 External Test 4 with full functionality with the exception of Cash Optimization and AMD functionality.
February 12 Cash Optimization functionality added to External Test 4
March 12 AMD functionality added to External Test 4
March 13 Go-live candidates of Nasdaq front-ends
April 18 Technical go-live of Genium INET 4.0.0240
April 20 First trading and clearing day for Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income and  Commodities.
