Laguna Hills Chiropractor to Give Talk on Non-Invasive Healing

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., Dec. 28, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Scott Hansen, chiropractor and owner of Precision Spinal Care, Inc. in Laguna Hills, California will be speaking at the Temple of Light Spiritual Community's monthly Holistic Healing Fair on the topic of non-invasive healing. Non-invasive healing describes several healing techniques which have been shown to encourage or accelerate healing in the body without the use of invasive procedures or side effect inducing pharmaceuticals, according to the chiropractor. At the fair, Dr. Hansen, a Laguna Hills chiropractor, will be joined by several other non-invasive healing providers and spiritual counselors both speaking and offering their services.

Chiropractor and owner of Precision Spinal Care, Inc. located in Laguna Hills, California has been asked to give a talk on non-invasive healing at the Temple of Light Spiritual Community's monthly Holistic Healing Fair which will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 11 Goddard, Irvine, California.

A term nested under holistic healing, non-invasive healing specifically refers to medical techniques or therapies which have been shown to encourage or accelerate physical healing without the use of invasive procedures such as surgery or the administration of side effect inducing pharmaceuticals. Numerous non-invasive healing techniques exist today, according to Dr. Hansen. Some of these practices are ancient, having been used for centuries, and others have only recently been developed. Non-invasive healing techniques include Reiki healing, massage therapy, and healing through meditation to pulsed ultrasound and cold laser therapy. Included on the long list of non-invasive healing practices is chiropractic care and the NUCCA technique in which Dr. Hansen specializes.

"All non-invasive healing therapies and treatments focus on a core principle, that the human body, functioning at an optimal level, can and will heal itself and stay well," says Dr. Hansen. "My area of practice, chiropractic care, focuses on allowing the body to function at a high level in order to achieve an ideal level of wellness by helping the spine return to its natural alignment."

Non-invasive medicine differs from other forms of treatment by being less intrusive than surgery, pharmaceuticals, and additional mainstream medical practices, said Dr. Hansen. He further stated that non-invasive healing techniques also seek to improve the overall function of the body, treating underlying causes rather than their symptoms. Most mainstream medicine focuses on treating symptoms while ignoring the underlying causes, according to the chiropractor.

Non-invasive healing strives to treat the whole patient, relying on the soundness of the theory that a high functioning body with its nervous, immune, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, and other systems operating as they should will heal itself and remain healthy, said Dr. Hansen.

Dr. Hansen is the owner and chiropractor of Precision Spinal Care, Inc. He provides patients with specialized chiropractic care and unique wellness plans tailored to help their bodies reach their highest level of functioning.
