AmTrust Announces the Pricing of Public Offering of Common Stock


NEW YORK, Jan. 8, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. (Nasdaq:AFSI) (the "Company" or "AmTrust") today announced that it has completed the sale of 3,000,000 shares of its common stock to the underwriter in its previously announced underwritten public offering. The Company will receive from the transaction net proceeds of $150.0 million prior to offering expenses. The Company has granted the underwriter an option for 30 days to purchase up to an additional 450,000 shares of common stock at the same price per share.  Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC acted as sole book-running manager of the offering. The offering is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. The Company intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include working capital, capital expenditures and/or strategic investments.
