LAVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Jan. 9, 2015) - Correctional Service Canada

On January 7, 2015 André Louissaint, an inmate of the Federal Training Center in Laval, died at the hospital of Archambault Institution in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines.

At the time of his death, Mr. Louissaint, 83 years old, had been serving a life sentence for second degree murder since May 27, 2004.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
