Swedish Competition Authority approves acquisition of Apotek Hjärtat

The Swedish Competition Authority has decided to approve ICA Gruppen’s
acquisition of Apotek Hjärtat without restrictions. This means that conditions
for the acquisition have been met. The acquisition is expected to be completed
on 15 January.
Approval of this deal also means that the work of integrating Cura pharmacies
and Apotek Hjärtat can now start. The new company will be reported as a separate
segment from the first quarterly report this year. The intended CEO of the new
company is Anders Nyberg, previously CEO of Apotek Hjärtat.
