MARTELA INITIATES CO-OPERATION NEGOTIATIONS TO IMPROVE SUPPLY CHAIN EFFICIENCY

Martela has today convened a meeting for statutory co-operation negotiations concerning Martela’s logistics center in Nummela and subsidiary Kidex Oy in Kitee.

The negotiations has been convened because the company has a need to improve the operation efficiency by matching its supply chain capacity against the market demand and the changed structure of customer demand.

The negotiations concern blue collar employees in Martela’s logistics center in Nummela and all employees in Kidex Oy. Negotiations may lead in Nummela to the maximum reduction of 9 persons by dismissals and/or indefinitely lay-offs and in Kidex Oy to the maximum reduction of 25 persons by dismissals. In addition it will be negotiated in the both locations about the actions which may lead to the  temporary lay-offs of personnel for a maximum of 90 days.
