HANZA to lay off in Åtvidaberg

HANZA Holding AB (publ) has given notice of termination to 18 employees in
Åtvidaberg in order to increase profitability in a varying manufacturing
environment and to support the company's long-term financial goals
HANZA acquired KA Elektronik last fall, and has now integrated the operations in
the Group's technology area PCB assembly, with manufacturing at three other
locations in Sweden and abroad. To create profitability in a varying
manufacturing environment, HANZA today gave notice of termination to a total of
18 employees in Åtvidaberg.
"As previously announced, we have won several contracts in electronics, but we
see also that the utilization rate differs between production units. Therefore
we need to implement measures ", comments Erik Stenfors, CEO HANZA. "It is very
sad to have to give notice, but our responsibility is first and foremost to
create a safe workplace. It can only be done by HANZA long-term efforts to
create a strong and sustainable profitability. "
Negotiations with the unions have begun.
