NEW YORK, Jan. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Houlihan Lokey, the international investment bank, today announced that Patrick Collins has joined the firm's Financial Sponsors Group as a Managing Director, based in New York. Mr. Collins will primarily focus on assisting the firm's hedge fund and financial sponsor clients with distressed and special situations investment opportunities.
Mr. Collins joins Houlihan Lokey from Collins Investments LLC, the investment firm he founded in 2008, where he managed private equity and debt investments in small- and mid-cap companies. Prior to Collins Investments, he served as a Portfolio Manager and Head of Distressed Private Equity and Special Situations Private Equity at D.E. Shaw, during which he built a team of investment professionals and operating partners focused on distressed investments and rescue finance. Other previous experience includes a range of roles at Mizuho International, Merrill Lynch, and Morgan Stanley.
