Alfred Berkeley and Enzo Villani Have Joined Equities.com's Board of Directors

LOS ANGELES, Calif., Jan. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- equities.com, Inc., the online financial news organization and social community for investors, companies, and advisors, is pleased to announce Alfred R. Berkeley, III and Enzo Villani have joined its Board of Directors.

Berkeley served as the President of NASDAQ Stock Market from 1996 until 2000 and as Vice-Chairman of the NASDAQ from 2000 to 2003. He is currently the Chairman of Princeton Capital Management and Vice Chairman of Gentag, Inc. In addition to his experience at NASDAQ and Princeton Capital Management, he has held a number of top level executive and Board positions for public and private companies in various industries.

"I'm really intrigued by the idea of creating a community of interest around investing, and particularly around growth and small-cap companies," Berkeley said. "I think what equities.com is doing is brave and bold, and important. I think they're early in a huge opportunity to fill a void that Wall Street has just walked away from."

Berkeley was recently interviewed by equities.com at the Small-Cap Stars Conference at the NASDAQ MarketSite in December. Watch the video on equities.com.

After joining equities.com as the company's CEO in August 2014, Villani will now also join the company's Board of Directors. Villani is the former founder of NASDAQ Global Corporate Services, and Co-Founder of DF King Worldwide.

Since becoming CEO, Villani has overseen equities.com's first acquisition in the company's history via VantageWire.com, which has now successfully become equities.com Canada. The deal solidified equities.com's North American foothold with offices now in New York, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Toronto.
