SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 21, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Edgewater Networks, a leader in enterprise session border controllers, announced today that TMC, a global, integrated media company, has named the EdgeMarc 4750 as a recipient of a 2015 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award.
The EdgeMarc 4750 is a high availability (HA) enterprise session border controller designed specifically for small to medium businesses with up to 100 simultaneous calls while supporting up to 100 Mbps of data. It prioritizes voice over data traffic to ensure the quality voice calls while allowing routed data traffic to burst up to full line rate when possible. The EdgeMarc 4750 uses stateful packet inspection for data and tracks VoIP signaling states to dynamically open and close ports, (D)DOS protection, VPN, and registration/SIP message rate pacing. Services include WAN link redundancy to provide link backup, and PSTN interconnect (via external gateway) for a survivable option.
